Forsaken Settings — Hitsound ID, Crosshair and Keybinds
Settings checked:
Hitsound ID
A hitsound is the noise that plays when you land a hit. Two settings control it:
- Hitsounds Enabled — master toggle. Off, and the ID field is not shown at all.
- Hitsound ID — the sound asset ID used for that noise.
The field takes a Roblox audio asset ID, and not every ID will play — the audio has to be one the game is allowed to load. We deliberately do not publish a list of "working hitsound IDs": those lists rot fast as audio gets moderated or privated, and a page of dead IDs is worse than no page. Test an ID in a private server before you rely on it in a match.
On whether other people hear it: the hitsound is a local setting on your own client, in the same family as your own crosshair and UI options. Treat it as something you set for yourself.
Crosshair ID — mobile only
This is the correction that saves a lot of wasted searching. Crosshair Enabled puts a crosshair in the centre of your screen only if you are on a mobile device. On PC the setting is present, switchable, and does nothing. Crosshair ID — the texture asset ID used to draw it — appears when the toggle is on, and is equally inert on PC.
The rest of the Game tab
- Field of View — widen to see more of your surroundings, narrow for a tighter view.
- Skip Intro Cutscenes — skips the killer intro. You are still told who the killer is and their username, and you are still frozen until the cutscene would have ended.
- Display Auras Without Highlights — replaces ability aura highlights with a profile indicator.
- Large Killer Transparent — makes large killers semi-transparent from the killer's own view. Currently this only affects Guest 666 and her skins.
- AFK Mode — keeps you out of rounds. Can also be toggled in the lobby via the Grandfather Clock.
- Disable Being Killer — stops you gaining Malice. It does not actually stop you being picked: if you already hold the highest Malice, you can still be made the killer.
- Survivor UI — shows living and dead survivors, with three display styles (Stacked, Side, Icon).
- Nametags — on/off plus a viewing distance from 10 to 50 studs.
- Desaturate / Screen Shake / Vignette — low-health and damage feedback, each independently switchable.
Keybinds
Rebinding is available on keyboard and controller but not on mobile. Mouse buttons 3–5 and the function key cannot be bound. You can bind WASD, the number keys, F1–F12 and keys like Delete — and you should not, because those collide with movement and with Roblox's own system shortcuts.
Audio and accessibility
Music, sound and voice lines each have their own 0–200 volume slider. Setting them to zero is allowed and is a real competitive handicap: the terror radius is an audio cue, so muting the game removes your main early warning that a killer is close.
The accessibility group includes an Epilepsy Mode that tones down the heaviest flashing effects — the Subspace Tripmine detonation is the usual example. The game's own store description warns about flashing lights and loud audio, so this is the toggle to find first if that applies to you. There is also a Deaf Mode option in the same area.
